Community Health Education
Community Health Education (CHE) at LifeBridge Health provides health promotion programs and disease prevention activities and screenings to the communities we serve as well as the employee population. Education programs such as Eating for Energy and Healthy Grocery Store Tours are hands-on activities that help participants improve their health knowledge and learn new skills to move them forward in their health journey. The Diabetes Management Program is a 3-part series that teaches participants about risk factors related to their disease, strategies to improve their health and offers a supportive network to share similar experiences. CHE also provides health screenings such as Women's Heart Health and Lifestyle Screening, Skin Cancer Screening, Prostate Screening and more. Screenings are designed to identify persons at risk of a particular disease or condition and teach them simple ways they can improve their health habits one step at a time. Screenings also help link participants to health care professionals for further follow up. Health fairs are also integral part of CHE's educators. For additional program offerings or information, please contact Sandy Jamison, 410-521-5968.
