At the BirthPlace at Sinai, we believe that a healthy baby begins with a healthy pregnancy. That means eating right, exercising, getting plenty of rest, visiting your doctor or midwife and taking advantage of our Family Education Program. We offer expectant parents and their families a comprehensive range of classes and tours. Our family centered program provides classes from pre-pregnancy through infancy. An array of classes include the following information: The process of labor and birth Relaxation and breathing techniques for labor and birth Breastfeeding basics for getting started as well as returning to work Infant Safety-CPR Basic infant care What to expect during infant’s first year Sibling interaction and participation.
